In 2021, almost 1.5 thousand new residents declared their place of residence in Vilnius district - about 10 thousand in a decade
The new year began happily as Vilnius district continues to grow. In the year 2021, 1,491 new residents chose Vilnius district as their home. According to the information provided by the State Enterprise Centre of Registers by the time of January 1st of the year 2022, the number of residents that chose to declare their place of residence in Vilnius district reaches 108,828 residents (including the number of inhabitants included in the account of residents without the place of residence).
Vilnius District Municipality presents a unique exhibition about the symbols of traditional spring festivals – Vilnius region palms and Kaziukas fair gingerbread. On June 29th, a Vilnius district municipal council made a decision that will allow the pupils of the Vilnius district to allocate three new yellow school buses.
On June 9, the ceremony of the 9th anniversary of Jesus Christs enthronement act was held in the Vilnius District Municipality. The festive event started from St. Mass in St. Archangel Rapolo Church in Vilnius, during which the Jesus Christ enthronement Act was renewed.
Vilnius District Mayor and Administration 2017 Activity Report: significant initiatives and accomplished work for the well-being of the Vilnius district and its residents
Vilnius district marked the year 2017 with the successful implementation of projects, efficiently attracted investments for the well-being of residents, the modern and higher quality learning environment, successfully expanded infrastructure of social services, ensured quality of social services and favorably created business environment.
During the projects of local employment initiatives 7 projects were implemented and 41 new jobs were created for the unemployed in Vilnius district
On March 23 2018, the presentation of the projects of the Local Employment Initiatives organized by the Vilnius Territorial Labour Office took place in Vilnius District, where the projects and their results completed in 2017 were presented.
On March 20, the head of the Vilnius Frontier Team from State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and a community official visited the Vilnius District Municipality.
