"It is very nice to be here today in such a united community to celebrate the 11th of March. Without any military aggression, without weapons in our hands, with only a strong will, we have achieved results that we can be happy and proud of.

I was born and grew up in an independent Lithuania. I am grateful to those people who made history so that we can grow up and live freely, pursuing our ambitions.

What is a state? A state is each one of us, each one of us in our own family, community, and larger group, regardless of ethnicity and religion. How we will live in the future depends on us. And what we have achieved, we need to protect and cherish," said Mayor Duchnevič.
