Registration of civil status records

The services of marriage registration, childbirth registration, death registration, divorce registration, and issuance of multiple documents are provided by the Civil Registry Department of Vilnius District Municipality Administration.

Persons may apply for civil registry services directly to the Civil Registry Department of the Vilnius District Municipality Administration (Rinktinės St. 50, Vilnius) or by electronic means through the external portal of the Information System for Registration of Vital Statistics and Declaration of Residence: https://mgvdisisorinis.registrucentras.lt.

Visitors are received at the Vilnius District Municipality (Rinktinės St. 50, Vilnius), ground floor, rooms 102, 103 and 109.

For death, divorce (when the marriage was divorced in Lithuania), and registration of a church marriage, persons do not need to apply to the Civil Registry Office - these actions are carried out on the initiative of the Civil Registry Office, after obtaining the documents confirming these civil status acts from the relevant institutions.
